El Día de San Patricio es ampliamente reconocido y observado en todo Estados Unidos como una celebración de la cultura irlandesa e irlandesa-estadounidense. Las celebraciones incluyen exhibiciones destacadas del color verde, celebraciones religiosas, numerosos desfiles y abundante consumo de alcohol... La fiesta se ha celebrado en Norteamérica desde finales del siglo XVIII, aunque su origen está en Irlanda, además de en muchos otros países del mundo. El 14 de febrero se celebra el Día Internacional del Amor y de la Amistad.
Un grupo de amigas de internet hemos hecho el juego del Amigo Invisible y yo le preparé a la mía estos CDs reciclados como posavasos.

Sindrome de Turner - It's a girl thing

Hoy traigo una participación diferente porque estoy colaborando a difundir el Síndrome de Turner junto con el blog It's a girl thing, participando en un blog hop donde colabora Crackerbox&SuzyStamps.
El síndrome de Turner es una enfermedad "rara" que afecta a 1 de cada 2.000 o 2.500 niñas. Los síntomas son muy variados: desarrollo físico lento, alteraciones hormonales, mayor riesgo de padecer cáncer de mama o defectos cardíacos, entre otros muchos. Los controles regulares y una atención médica adecuada pueden ayudar a la mayoría de las niñas y mujeres a vivir vidas sanas e independientes (Fuente: Clínica Mayo).
